I'm intrigued - is the money you make taxable as income? Sorry to take this totally off topic and feel free to move if there's a better place to post, but you seem to be quite successful in your betting so thought I'd ask ;) I've been poking around and found this tax calculator and was looking at what you'd pay in tax if it were and it's not an insignificant amount, even in the basic tax band!

cheers :)

Nah bro, in the UK..your winnings do not get taxed at all that includes the lottery unlike america which reaches highest up to 39% tax on lottery wins. Also, yeah its useful to do your research before betting as Analysis comes to play then luck second. No point just doing random bets without having no knowledge of the team, players and performance including stats

P.S. where are you from buddy? :)

Highly recommend in addition to research of performance, stats and etc... on betting a team, you should also do the odds to probability to get the win/Loss rate % of the bookies for that specific 'bet' whilst comparing to others for best return and decide with your likely outcome if it is suitable and whether its worth the money for that return amount.

Example: Odds are currently 1/16 for Portugal vs morocco over 0.5 goals tomorrows match, so the probability of this happening for the bookies is 94% and 6% not but then research and analysis comes in to place, after doing the probability in to which you will come with your own % based on the statistics you just observed. Calculation to get the probability from fraction odds is really simple of the bookies, So in this case the fraction odd is 1/16 ...All you do is need to follow this format = Denominator divided by (denominator + numerator) So 16 is the denominator here, 16+1 is 17 so 16 divided by 17 is 0.94117647058 x 100 makes it 94%. I hope this was very useful to someone who is interested in doing sports betting or new in it, needs to know this so they can make revenue in the longer term run. In addition to this, I highly recommend using Oddchecker as well as it compares Odds with the other bookies, in order to get the best return for that particular match.

Please do know, the probability of a match will always be 1/3 the outcome of a match which ofcourse bookies know as to why if you place money on all 3 outcomes, it will never be a higher return than the amount you put in...so indeed you would be making a Loss. As to why, research of analyses comes in to play which is critical, that increases your chances of winning

P.S. I usually do not post recommendation on Odds that are higher than 1/9 as it is not really worth the risk for the return unless you are doing low stake bets then go ahead and do it :)

I'll just post this one time recommendation when the odds are above 1/9, hopefully it reduces in play (Live) :D (If you want me to increase my recommendation post despite when the odds are bad ; max will be 1/20 if you would like me to then please respond back on the thread that you would not mind, thanks)

Football

Recommendation: Portugal vs Morocco Over 0.5 goals

Result: Win
