@JfN so which cooler would you go with after this stuff?

I am considering going with Corsair still as the case, power supply, and all internal fans (Corsair AF120 & Corsair SP120 fans) excluding the front 200mm fan, are all Corsair branded so thinking I will go with the H100i.

Also, the fact that the cooler master tubing is longer is a downside considering that the case I'm using is already small
Probably makes sense sticking with Corsair then. Didn't really answer my question in my last post though.

What was your question? Just seeing if Linus was benchmarking them against each other? He didn't do that but I was kinda put off by the longer tubing on the cooler. I would prefer the Phanteks if it fit in but I don't know if it would, i updated with pics of DVD instead of hand to show the space :p

No not against each other, just a normal benchmarking test. You can't really suggest something like that unless you have a benchmark to prove it.

You said noise was an issue. The Coolermaster is quieter like I said.

Most people say that it's more than enough for a 980 even though the wattage shown on amazon is 600W, I'll be upgrading it to a more silent power supply and scrapping this other one, I want the quietest build possible
Well im running a sapphire 290x 4gb amd, and that has to have a minimum power flow of 700 watt so i assume the 980 would have to have something similar aswell
[hr]
Oh and if your looking for a decent silent case im using the NZXT H230 which has sound damping. i have about 6 fans case mounted not including GPU/CPU and RAM and my computer is pretty much silent even under load. Plus overclockers just reduced the price to £50 heres the link for it: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-127-NX

it will be pretty cramped in that case with a 980 though
No as the bitfenix prodigy has a vented window just for a GPU fan to go, it's made for a single high end graphics card to go in it as one side panel has a vented window which supports 2 120mm fans on the side, which is where I am mounting my H100i to cool the CPU, and on the other window is where the 980 will face outwards so the fan intake is right next to the vented window, both side panels are made for fans to sit there but the left panel is made for a GPU fan (like the ones on the 980)

@JfN I have all the parts now except for CPU and the CPU Cooler, I'm defo going with the 5820k but I still can't decide on the Cooler master nepton 240m vs the H100i.. Odd situation :p

--- Edit: never mind I already realised I ordered the H100i, will go better any way, my case is Corsair, fans are Corsair and the cooler master tubing looks tacky and is supposedly pretty fragile feeling and hard to bend, which is a problem as my case is very small

Spray the rest of it red. Red is cooler anyway.
Yup. I'm spraying the 2 x 80mm fans I got (Arctic cooling ones or something) red, and attempted to spray my Bitfenix spectre pro at the front red but I snapped the fans off whilst trying to pry the blade from the base of it :(

I'm way not confident with spraying my motherboard xD

I might get someone else to do it if it turns out to bother me :p

I have everything either with me or ordered now except for the CPU :)

GPU is in, motherboard is in, RAM is in, all fans are in (broke my 200mm one so have to get another tho), ordered new EVGA 850w psu, and H100i is coming tomorrow too.

Will get the Bitfenix Recon when I have got everything else first

Update: Bitfenix recon and an Aerocool 200mm red fan is now ordered.

Lemme know how well that GPU works out, I've been looking to upgrade, doubt its going to be for that, seeing as the FURYX is out now, but its worth seeing.
