    Has Chromecast been recently updated?
Just plugged it in and I now have the option to cast from my browser to my TV, which is pretty cool

Gonna be using my chromecast a lot more now!

would be nice if it did local files as my PC has a large movie collection. Might set up a home network so i can stream from PC to TV to Chromecast effortlessly but thats more money

We live in a wireless age and it's not very common to find a 50ft HDMI cable, this is why I bought a Chromecast.

    1) I use my laptop in bed and I really don't want a cable running along my bed when I'm trying to sleep. (I used to stream Netflix and put my tv on off timer, now I have a smart tv i don't need it)

    2) My TV in my office is wall mounted and I already have cable management set up for the power+hdmi cable from my tv box. My PC is on the other side of the room to it and it would look ugly to have a single cable running up the wall

but yeah a super long HDMI cable would have solved all the problems, but it really isn't nice to see
